The app

Blanky has no accounts, analytics, ads or crash reporting. Everything it stores stays on your PC in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Blanky:

  • your settings, presets and favorites (JSON files);
  • copies of sounds you import, and preset artwork;
  • a small log file, blanky.log, rewritten at each launch, that records audio device events to help fix bugs. It never leaves your PC unless you attach it to a bug report yourself.

Deleting that folder removes everything Blanky has stored.

Updates

When it starts and every few hours while it runs, Blanky asks GitHub whether a newer version has been released, and if so downloads it from GitHub. These are ordinary web requests to GitHub's servers: they include your IP address, as every web request does, and nothing about you or how you use Blanky. GitHub handles them under its privacy statement.

The app itself is installed in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Blanky.App. Uninstalling removes it and leaves your data in place.
